چکیده
Microhabitats capacity to support insect species diversity and persistence were evaluated implementing solitary parasitoids predatory insects according different phases of herbicide chemical fertilizer applications. Two the genus Xanthopimpla (Ichneumonidae) one Pompilus (Pompilidae) showed relationships on vegetation-type microhabitats, notably natural weeds, leguminous cover crops, beneficial plant Turnera subulata, while two Evania (Evaniidae) with chipped oil palm trunks. One from Odontomachus (Formicidae) as an exclusive ant was related both trunks T. subulata. exhibited abundance fluctuations difference around weeds during application between three- six-years old stands, decreased increased patterns former latter, respectively. 18 years stand only along The importance diversity, restrictions frequency applications, arrangements plants wood-based microhabitats that benefited predators discussed.

Utilization of Palm Oil Clinker as Cement Replacement Material
The utilization of waste materials from the palm oil industry provides immense benefit to various sectors of the construction industry. Palm oil clinker is a by-product from the processing stages of palm oil goods. Channelling this waste material into the building industry helps to promote sustainability besides overcoming waste disposal problems. Environmental pollution due to inappropriate wa...
متن کاملThe Digestion , Absorption and Utilization of Refined Palm Oil , Palm Olein and Palm
A nutritional evaluation of refined, bleached and deodorised (RBD) palm oil and its fractionation products, RBD palm olein and RBD palm stearin in terms of their digestibility, rate of absorption and food efficiency in rats, shows that RBD palm olein is a better oil by these criteria than RBD palm stearin and the unfractionated RBD palm oil. Nevertheless, the nutritional indices reported for RB...
متن کاملDiel Patterns of Activity for Insect Pollinators of Two Oil Palm Species (Arecales : Arecaceae)
The pollination of two oil palm species, Elaeis guineensis Jacquin and Elaeis oleifera Cortés (Arecales: Arecaceae), depends on a mutualistic relation with insects, which use male inflorescences as a brood site, and visits female inflorescences lured by the emitted odor, which is similar to that of males. Although the activity of visiting the inflorescences by these insects is critical for the ...
متن کاملLandscape constraints on functional diversity of birds and insects in tropical agroecosystems.
In this paper, we analyze databases [corrected] on birds and insects to assess patterns of functional diversity in human-dominated landscapes in the tropics. A perspective from developed landscapes is essential for understanding remnant natural ecosystems, because most species experience their surroundings at spatial scales beyond the plot level, and spillover between natural and managed ecosys...
متن کاملDiversity and Abundance of Insects in Wukari, Taraba State, Nigeria
A field survey was conducted in Wukari, Taraba State to assess the diversity and abundance of insect species in selected habitats (residential, open field made up of grassland and an agroecosystem). Sampling were done biweekly using light, pitfall and yellow pan traps set in 3 replicates, 30 m apart. Insects recovered were wet preserved in 70% ethanol except butterflies and moths. Representativ...
